Attorney John McDermott has over six years of practice experience counseling clients on municipal law, licensing, land use, zoning and permitting appeals, and landlord-tenant matters. His experience also includes advising and representing clients in condominium development and disputes, residential and commercial closings and leasing, title curative litigation, foreclosure matters, and general civil litigation.
Attorney McDermott has represented a variety of clients including municipalities, private developers, condominium boards, homeowners’ associations, individuals, small business owners, and institutional lenders. He has successfully represented clients in a broad range of cases in the Massachusetts Superior Court, Land Court, Housing Court, and District Court Departments, as well as before numerous licensing authorities, Planning Boards, Zoning Boards of Appeal, and Conservation Commissions.
As a former Assistant District Attorney and Clerk in U.S. Immigration Court, Attorney McDermott is well versed in Court practice and procedure at both the state and federal level. Attorney McDermott graduated from Saint Anselm College with a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) in Politics and a minor in Public Policy Studies and earned his Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston.
